| Chris Townsend - What are you waiting for | CD Review by Kevin from Bristol Rocks |
|
This acoustic guitar based CD was recorded at Supersonix studios in Weston Super Mare. The package is well presented with a glass mastered CD and good artwork. The first track is called 'Pleased' and is 1.27 minutes of Chris and his acoustic guitar. I like this simple format and the song is indeed pleasing. 'Loud' is the track featured on Chris's BR profile and you can listen to it below. This one is mainstream pop and as such is the song on this CD that is most likely to get radio play.

'Handle this' shows Chris's ability as a songwriter. A well constructed song that could only be improved by the addition of some backing vocals. 'What are you waiting for' is a more gritty song that is my favourite from the CD. This song is more complex than the previous. 'Glorious' is another pop track that is pleasant to listen too. |
| Overall Chris has produced a CD of music that he can be proud of. The songs are well constructed good easy listening. I think that the album could be improved with some re-mixing, the drum sound is a little weak and eq & compression could make the tracks more punchy. | |
