Famous Bristol Musicians - Bill Bailey

By Steve - Bristol Rocks

Bill Bailey known more recently for his appearances on 'Never Mind The Buzzcocks' and Black Book' was born and raised in the west country. The fans who have followed his career will know that he is first and foremost a very talented musician first hitting the scene with a band called the 'Famous Five' who only had four members.
That will give you a good indication of the humorous side of Bill and why he pursued that side of his character.

I didn't know much about Bill until I started writing this article.
That led me to 'YOU TUBE' where you can watch clips of his stage shows.
I will put a link to one of his video clips at the bottom of the page. This clip is his tribute to 'KRAFTWERK' and he has done it as a German version of the 'Hokey Cokey' which is one of the funniest things I have ever seen, I hope you agree.

As yet Bill hasn't answered any e-mails from us requesting an interview which is a shame being a local lad and all that!
We will keep trying before bestowing one of our prestigious awards on him.
