To
complete a three-piece rock band in Bristol City. Between the age of
25-30, must be able to rehearse at least twice a week, must be able to
travel, must have own gear and transport.
The
band has been playing for 2 years and has recently been let down by time
wasters so only somebody who is serious about joining a band and has no
other band commitments. The band have currently recorded tracks that
will have to be learnt and have also planned shows for the end of May.
In the past the band have been featured in Kerrang and Rocksound
magazines and have played shows with the likes of Attack! Attack!,
Straight Lines and Twin Atlantic.
The
ideal person would be into –

First advertised last November, but having to re-advertise, we are still a
(North Bristol/S Glos-based) wedding-stylee covers band with 4 strong voices
sharing lead and backing duties, a guitarist, keysperson and a drumsmith,
all with extensive gigging, studio and/or stage experience.
We were messed about over our final missing cog in the machine: bass.
Ideally not needing to travel TOO far for rehearsals in Westerleigh (to keep
your fuel costs down, and save the planet just a little bit more), and who
would be able to commit to a not-too-hectic schedule.
We only perform covers; a wide range of material - from disco pop to torch
blues to electronica to acoustic folkesque to classic rock to
waltzes/quicksteps to Glee-covered covers (yes, "That" journey one...)...
The ability to work out your own bass parts, or surf the 'net for tabs, or
play by ear, would be pretty much essential. Your own backline and basses
will be equally important to own, plus the ability to drive yourself into
the wilds of S Glos on a regular basis...
Rehearsals are still every Wednesday evening, and any audition/meet-up would
be on a Wednesday evening.
This is not a charity, we will be looking to take good money from every show
we put on.
At this time we are booking gigs from June, and are developing a strong set
list and very powerful vocal arrangements.

I am looking for musicians in the
S.Glos/East Bristol interested in starting up a decent pub rock band (if you
remember that as a genre you’ll know I mean the style of The Pirates, Dr
Feelgood, moving into early Clash, Skids, TRB – I’m sure you get the idea).
This is a start up project; the idea being to get few pub gigs when ready.
The mindset is very much the 70’s punk DIY ethos; three chords will do!
I am a mid/late forties guitarist
with some reasonable gear and I have been playing for five years. I also
have a bass and so I am prepared to take that role. I know my way around
the fretboard but I have NO live band experience (apart from few auditions
and try-outs that just didn’t work out). I also work shifts so I have
everything going against me! I am looking for a drummer, guitarist, singer
and bassist who, like me, need to start playing with other musicians. We'll
need to find rehearsal space and may need to pay a few quid each for that.

Hard working existing 9 piece Original SKA band is seeking a new
Trumpet. You must be confident, reliable, have a huge personality

The band plays all over the country for festivals, support slots for
international artist and headline gigs of their own.
The existing band line up is keys, bass, guitar x 2, drums,

We are a hard working band who get on and enjoy what we do. Our
emphasis is, and always will be, about enjoying the performance,
working hard, having fun and more importantly pushing ourselves to
reach our goals of earning our living from this band. The Band
rehearse weekly to ensure that we have regular new material and so
that we are tight as a unit when we perform.
We are looking for a real character who can entertain as well as
play the horn, really enthuse our audience and interact with them.
You must be reliable and able to commit to the band and be
available for gigs as well as the unpaid rehearsals. We require

from 40-60 a year currently.

I and a freind are currently losely jamming but I am now ready to get much
more serious about music. I am 22 years old and have about seven songs and
are designed to be angry and offensive to imbociles who know nothing of rock
music. My lyrics are intelligent and played with emotion but not at all
soppy, maybe a little self defeating and expressive but also angry and good.
What I need are musicians to develop with that like decent rock music. I am
primarily into metal, grunge, good punk and heavy rock such as Black Label
Society, Metallica, Megadeth, Pearl Jam, Rage, Muse, Clash whatever etc.
amoungst other music.

Covers band in the Bristol/Bath area seeks guitarist/singer. We are a 3
piece - guitar, bass, drums - and we gig fairly regularly in pubs around
Bristol and Bath. We cover a lot of '60's songs - Beatles, Stones, Who,
Kinks etc. and a lot of '50's rock'n'roll - Elvis, Chuck Berry, Eddie
Cochran etc. We are looking for a guitar player to play rhythm or lead, and
also to join us singing harmonies. We rehearse once a week in Bristol.

We are Sniper, an experienced 4 piece rock covers band
based in Bristol with gigs booked in Bristol and S Wales throughout the
year. We aim to gig twice per month, (we like to have a social life as well)
and practice most Monday evenings at the Linbo 1 studio's in Kingswood,
Bristol. We play music from the Beatles through to Kings of Leon etc. Our
ages range from late 20's to mid 50's but we are happy to take on anybody
regardless of age or sex.
We are looking for a keyboard/synth player, with his/her own equipment and
transport to complement and extend our current set.

stuff we have recorded ourselves during practice and live at gigs. Our set
list is changing all the time so some songs are no longer performed.

Experienced hard rock/metal vocalist and writer required for top Bristol
band. No ego's, no politics and no excuses! You need to look and be the
part. Commitment and ready to rehearse every week is essential. Must have

Motorhead, Soil, Killswitch, Black label Society) gigs, new album and glory

Hard working bristol band
are looking for a Bristol based drummer who –
1.
Is not interested in a project / hobbie
2.
Doesnt only love red hot chillie peppers or death metal!
3.
Has there own drum kit
4.
Can practice twice a week
5.
Gig on regualar basis

Between the ages of 20 and 40ish
The band has been
playing for 4 years and has recently been let down by dreamers and time
wasters so only somebody who is serious about joining a band and has no
other band commitments.
The ideal person would be
into –
1.
British bands from 1960’s to present day (the kinks, clash, smiths,
doves)
2.
American soul and R&B (we are talking Otis Reading + stax/motown not
Rkelly!)
3.
Great records! (revolver,all mod cons,the stone roses)
4.
Making quality music and Having a laugh and up for getting drunk.

We are currently a very experienced, talented trio
comprising guitarist/vocalist, drummer/backing vocalist and bassist, all
in our 40's , who are looking to play primarily our own songs. We have
a lot of material to work on and are based around the Bath/Frome/Midsomer
Norton area. We have all played in many bands previously and have a
great chemistry, but just need that fourth member who can take on most
of the lead vocals and also play some keyboards or guitar when needed to
add texture and colour to our sound.
Initially we plan to record a basic demo, set up
a website and play selected music venues in the Bath/Bristol/Somerset
area. We have good contacts and the aim is to secure some local
festival slots and support slots for signed bands. We are realistic and
all have jobs, but are also serious and passionate about music and want
to achieve as much as we can whilst enjoying playing.
Our influences are varied (Cream, Jeff Beck, Van Halen,
Stevie Wonder, Radiohead, Jaco Pastorius, Chick Corea, Tower of Power,
Led Zeppelin, Pearl Jam, The Who, Rush, to name but a few) with the
general common theme being bands who are creative and can play, whilst
keeping a groove as much as possible.
