Ladies Acoustic Night at the Old Tavern - 30th May 2007

Review by Kevin - Bristol Rocks

I cursed myself because I missed the first act at Alfie Kingston's Old Tavern acoustic evening last night. Julie Baker from Djute had just finished her set when I arrived, sorry Julie; I will catch you next time.

Next up was Emily Teague who received a warm welcome from the large Old Tavern audience.

Daisy Chapman came on next. The front person from Scarlitti Tilt was just amazing. An excellent keyboard player and singer with some haunting melodies. The audience loved every minute of this and she even had Simon the grumpy lighting engineer smiling.

You can watch a video clip of Daisy by clicking the link below.

3D are Bristol's best female band by miles. Talented song writers and instrumentalists with harmonies tighter than Elton John's jock strap.

The girls didn't disappoint the audience this evening, their lively set was just what was needed for the ultimate act of a great evening.
The link below will show you just what I mean about 3D!

Alfie's Wednesday acoustic sessions at the Old Tavern are going from strength to strength. If you are after an evening with first class entertainment just loud enough that you don't have to talk to the wife (or husband) then this is it.

Well almost smiling:)
