This is Spinal Tap
The best Rock film ever? |
 |
|
For
the few of you that have never seen This is Spinal Tap, here is a
brief description. The film is a spoof ‘Rockumentary’ about a
fictitious band called Spinal Tap. An aging rock group who’s
popularity is declining on their second tour of America in 1982 find
difficulties as gigs are cancelled. Their manager explains to an
interviewer that the audiences not getting smaller just becoming
‘more selective’. |
|
There are some classic rock film moments in this film like the
Spinal Tap guitarist explaining why the control knobs on his
Marshall go up to 11 rather than 10. |
 |
| The band decide to improve their act with a
Stonehenge set. Unfortunately the monument model arrives at 18" high
instead of 18 feet. |
 |
| There are plenty of other brilliantly
funny moments in this film and that is why it gets my vote for best
rock film ever. |
