I was there at the virgin
birth of Bristol rocks, watching Kevin squeeze out this basic plan
of a live music website, luckily I was there mind you as Kevin’s
ideas were completely shit and I take full credit for all the good
things on the site and any negatives you may have noticed are
probably Kevin’s doing (Note from Kevin.. Wanker!). I have been in
many a forming Punk band practicing in the backs of Pet shops,
garages and sheds but rarely saw anything through to gigging, I
think in fact I have never played the same venue twice apart from
non paying places, can’t imagine why, I must be really crap!
Watching other people with talent and documenting with photographs
and reviews has turned out to be more fulfilling. I was never the
academic type to write about anything, more your Art and hanging
around the back of the bike sheds sort of student, but when you see
something which you really have an opinion on makes the literary
juices flow.
I have also been
photographing bands for the site which led to night school at Filton
college and many a night crouched in the pit at the Carling Academy
and squashed at the front in pub venues.

Here is a song I wrote with
Kevin and sang on one drunken evening, it was supposed to be a punk
song but ended up as what can only be categorised as comic novelty,
so would of done a storm in the 70`s, but this song is the reason I
gave up trying to write songs.
